Service Description
Learn how to make pinched forms with clay and decorate them using the sgraffito technique with Katie Weyrich at clay ground. This 4-week course for all skill levels meets 3 hours a week and includes up to 2 hours of open studio practice time per week. The sgraffito technique is a decorative process where designs are carved through a layer of underglaze (or colored slip) to reveal the clay underneath. Students will gain hands-on experience in applying and carving intricate designs on pieces pinched with their own hands. By the end of the class, students will complete 3-5 finished pieces that showcase their new sgraffito skills. All materials and taxes are included in the course fee.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelation Policy Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund or a credit for another workshop or class of the same value. Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will incur a 50% fee or 50% off coupon for another workshop or class . Cancellations made within 48 reservations for this event are nonrefundable.
