Students will:​​

• Design and build a one-of-a-kind ceramic lamp from concept to finished piece

• Use strong handbuilding techniques to create durable, well-balanced hollow forms

• Design functional openings and internal structures for safe lamp wiring and hardware

• Develop surface texture, carving, and glaze treatments that interact with light

• Refine form and details for a clean, professional finish

• Install lamp hardware (socket, cord, and plug) to create a fully functional lamp ready for use
