My name is Katie (KT) and I am a ceramicist as well as an illustrator. I graduated with a BFA in graphic design but have found that ceramics is truly the passion I want to pursue. I started with the wheel but discovered a love of hand building that has taken over my work, which now mainly consists of hand-pinched pieces. I found a way to integrate my background in design and illustration into my work through the use of the sgraffito technique. My work is mostly inspired by nature—especially birds :)
