Originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Zen Twinkle Lamb is a Richmond-based ceramics artist. They are a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, receiving their BFA from the Department of Craft /Material Studies and the Department of Painting and Printmaking. Zen’s practice currently focuses on vessels which illustrate a story. Using their prowess from their painting-dominant background, they use clay vessels as their canvas, a means of converging conceptual work onto utilitarian forms. They merge intuitive processes with methodical planning and discipline in order to capture a fleeting moment before the mind has lost it entirely, embedding those moments on clay’s empathic surface.
