Fundamentals of hand-building techniques in ceramics

Pinching methods to create small, functional, and sculptural forms

Slab building techniques for constructing structured pieces

Coil building for creating larger or more complex shapes

How to plan and design ceramic projects from concept to completion

Proper use of tools and materials included in the course

Techniques for refining, joining, and finishing pieces
-
Studio practices, including safe and efficient workspace habits
-
Independent skill development through guided open studio time
-
Complete 3–6 finished ceramic pieces by the end of the course
