Explore the beauty, movement, and personality of animals through clay in this immersive 8-week handbuilding course. Using observation, reference images, sketching, and sculptural techniques, students will develop one or more animal-inspired sculptures while learning essential ceramic building methods. Through maquette studies, coil and slab construction, surface development, and glazing, participants will gain a deeper understanding of animal anatomy, gesture, proportion, and expression. Whether you're interested in realistic representation or more imaginative interpretations, this course offers a supportive environment to develop your sculptural voice while building technical confidence in clay.
